During Coach Dickey’s tenure at the college, he has had 8 All-State players and 3 NJCAA Academic All-Americans.  The graduation rate of CACC-East players ranks among the best in the ACCC.  Coach Dickey stresses the importance of being productive members of society and incorporates the principles of integrity, honesty, responsibility, and respect into the program and expects the very best of his players on and off the court.

Coach Dickey is married to the former Belinda Upchurch of Vicksburg, Miss., and they have two sons, Wes and Caleb, who both played baseball at CACC-East (formerly Jefferson Davis Community College).  Caleb is married to the former Lauren Pierce who was a player on Coach Dickey’s inaugural team in 2014.

The Dickey family moved to Brewton in 2008 where Coach Dickey also serves as President/CEO of the Brewton Area YMCA.  Coach Dickey promotes and continues to build the youth volleyball program at the YMCA and has a desire to encourage girls in their love for volleyball and in the development of their skills at an earlier age.
